LONDON -- Disney has signed a movie rental deal with YouTube and Google Play in the U.K.

Move is Disney and Google's first content agreement in Blighty, and gives users access to films including "Real Steel" and "Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl" online and on smart devices for £2.49 ($3.90) to £3.49 ($5.50) per film for a 32-day window.

Catherine Powell, senior VP and general manager of media distribution, Disney EMEA, said, "This launch will offer U.K. viewers further choice and flexibility in how they enjoy our must-see films at home or on the move -- all in a hassle-free cloud system."

British auds have an increasing number of ways to pay to watch movies and TV shows online.

Netflix bowed in the U.K. this year, and the BBC is prepping an online service that would enable Brits to buy recently broadcast shows to own.

Paybox BSkyB is launching non-Sky branded Internet operation Now TV this summer, initially offering movies and expanding to provide sport and entertainment.
