A YouTube video of an overjoyed dog welcoming his soldier master returning home from war is proving a viral hit, having racked up nearly two million views in just over a week.
And it isn't the first time that Chuck the boxer has proved to be an internet star – with a similar video of the excitable hound from last year attracting over 150,000 views.
Seen sitting in the open-windowed boot of an SUV, Chuck bursts into action as the returning soldier's wife, Katie, says "Daddy's home!".
Puppy love: This is not the first time Chuck has greeted his master so excitably Chuck leaps out of the back of the car after hearing "Daddy's home!"
Leaping out of the back of the car, he then bounds across the parking space to soldier Nick – and Chuck is so enthusiastic that he almost skids as he runs round his master's legs.
Jumping up and writhing around in Nick's embrace, the soldier has to crouch down to try and contain his pet's excitement.
And frisky Chuck has so much frenzied energy to burn that at one point Nick's sunglasses even go hurtling from the brim of his cap.
Give us a kiss: Nick gets attention - and lapped up Pleased to see you: Is it time for a walk yet?
But Chuck isn't the only one glad to see Nick back in the bosom of the family, even if he is dominating the homecoming.
Joking that the dog is getting more attention than she is after eight months away, Katie can be heard saying: "He's getting a longer welcome than I did."
Watch Chuck's previous eager greeting from February 2011 in the video below… where does he get his energy?
And although the brown and white boxer may seem a little boisterous, he certainly knows when to tone down the affectionate rowdiness – demonstrated in yet another captivating clip.
Filmed in January 2011, a video of him playing with five-month-old Sydney, the couple's daughter, shows that Chuck is more than just Nick's poochy pal… He's the entire family's best friend.
