Jay-Z plays the South By Southwest festival tonight, and whether you're thousands of miles from Austin, Texas -- or in the thick of SXSW, too poor to score tickets and drowning your sorrows in BBQ sauce -- there's still a way to watch Hova's set.
As announced days ago, Jay-Z's SXSW appearance will be livestreamed via YouTube -- and since showtime is tonight at 8 p.m. ET, we thought you and Baby Blue might appreciate a reminder.
Viewers are encouraged to send in their song requests via Twitter. (The hashtags #JayZSyncShow and #SongTitle will get your messages to the appropriate member of the Illuminati.) Apparently, songs with the most mentions will make their way into Jay-Z's setlist.
To think it was just last year Hova was just a surprise guest at the G.O.O.D. Music showcase -- albeit one who was internationally super-famous. That 2011 show, headlined by Kanye West, also featured performances from John Legend, Mos Def, Pusha T, Big Sean and Kid Cudi -- so there's great expectations for some similarly major special-guest-stars tonight. (MTV News, for example, speculates that Eminem could potentially pay a visit to Austin for the event.)
Sponsored by American Express, the show can be live-streamed through the credit card's YouTube channel starting at 8 p.m. ET. Should you miss it, you'll still have a week to catch it (through legitimate means). YouTube, Twitter and XBox Live will make the concert video available on-demand from Tuesday, March 13 - Monday, March 19.
